The low-weight, small body and ergonomic design help to improve handling for medium- to heavy-duty grinding and finishing. The slim barrel grip makes it easier to hold and control when undertaking fine grinding.
Variable speed dial
The 6-step variable speed dial lets you select the disc speed needed to grind carbon steel and stainless steel, while the brushless motor and Hilti 22V batteries give you reach and performance you can depend upon.
Lock-on switch
A lock-on switch means the tool is always working without the need to hold down a button. This reduces operator arm-strain and allows the angle grinder to keep grinding when you change position or grip.
Safety features
Active Torque Control (ATC), Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) and a fast-acting disc stop mean you can work faster while keeping the grinder under control, contributing to additional safety on the job.

Versatile, flexible and powerful
A flexible addition to your workbench, the AG 4S-A22 is fully compatible with our range of 22V batteries and chargers and can be used with will all existing 4" cutting and grinding discs.
Speed control for working with stainless steel
The AG 4S-A22 includes a 6-step speed control letting you select the disc rotation speed, from 3,000 - 8,000 rpm, to match the needs of your application. This is especially important when working with abrasive inserts on stainless steel (inox), where the speed dial is key to:
- Better results – because you have precise control of the abrasiveness
- Faster progress – because skilled metalworkers can adjust the tool to suit their most effective technique
- Flexibility – because you can adjust the speed to suit your material and application
The AG 4S-A22 uses an optimized air-flow system to cool the angle grinder and electronics which results in increased service life. As you'd expect, all Hilti cordless tools come with 2 years of wear-and-tear coverage and, if your tool does break, we’ll repair it within 3 working days – all at no cost, and giving you peace of mind.

AC-D SPX offers enhanced lifetime and cutting speed thanks to premium grit, optimized disc composition and thickness, recommended for use with cordless angle grinders.
Precise cuts could be made based on fast cutting speed and lower vibration.
AC-D SPX is recommended for cutting stainless steel because high cutting speed creates less heat.
