Load test of anchor bolt HST-3R M16
Hi. If the design load is far less than recommended load. Should use 1.5 time design load instead of recommended load for load test?

Dear Theodore,
Thank you for your enquiry. The test load should be determined by BD/RSE/AP or other authorized parties. However, if we are following the requirement by BD (which is the common practice), the test load should be 1.5 * recommended load instead of the design acting load since its purpose is for verifying the installation quality.
